Swachhta Pakhwada-related activities held at the Dept of Education

ALIGARH  : The Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University organized various activities as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada-related national campaign, including plantation drive, Swachhta awareness march, slogan writing, poster-making, essay writing and drawing competitions.

The activities began with a Swachhata Pledge conducted by the Chairman of the department, Prof Mujibul Hasan Siddiqui, who urged the faculty members and students to spread awareness about personal and environmental cleanliness.

The coordinator of the programme, Dr Mohammad Hanif led a plantation drive and planted saplings on the department premises, with other teachers and students who took a pledge to look after their plants and water them regularly.

Later, the students and staff members participated in a ‘Swachhata Abhiyan Jagrukta March’ to create awareness among people to maintain cleanliness in the premises.

Dr Razia B conducted the slogan-writing, poster-making competitions and drawing competitions. Aleena Tariq won the first prize, while Humera Mirza and Sehba Haseeb secured the second and third prizes, respectively, in the slogan writing competition.

In the poster-making competition, Arshee, Mehvesh Khanam and Sara Ansari received first, second and third prizes, respectively.

Mehvesh Khanam got the first prize in the drawing competition, while Sara Ansari and Mantasha Sadaf won the second and third prizes, respectively.

The essay writing competition, conducted by Dr. Tarannum, was won by Atiya Fatima, Suhira Khan and Rebecca Abbas, respectively as the first, second and third prize winners.
