FLO Uttarakhand and Uttarakhand Police Collaborate to Raise Awareness on Women’s Safety.

 

Dehradun : In a landmark initiative,  FICCI FLO Uttarakhand Chapter, led by Chairperson Dr. Charu Chauhan, organized an impactful event today at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Police. The primary objective was to raise awareness about women’s safety, showcasing the initiatives and facilities provided by the Uttarakhand Police to safeguard women.

 

The event was graced by Shri Abhinav Kumar, IPS, the dynamic Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttarakhand, as the Chief Guest. His address set the tone for the discussions, focusing on the critical need to enhance safety measures for women across the state. In his speech, he highlighted the ongoing efforts by the Uttarakhand Police and pledged to continue supporting such endeavors to ensure a secure environment for women.

Mrs Vimmi Sachdeva, IPS, IG Police Headquarters/ P&M, Dr Nilesh Anand Bharane, IPS, IG Crime & Law & Order Uttarakhand, Ms P Renuka Devi, DIG Crime & Law & Order Uttarakhand, Mrs Vishakha Ashok Bhadane, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Crime and Mrs Kamlesh Upadhyay, SP Law & Order were also present on the occasion.

The event featured an array of expert speakers from Police department in the fields of Cyber Security and Women’s Safety. They shared insights into the special initiatives being implemented by both the Government and the Police Department to protect women from various crimes and threats. The informative sessions were followed by an interactive Q&A, where attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the experts.

 

Event was attended by Ms. Anuradha Mallah, Immediate Past Chairperson, Dr. Maansi Rastogi, Secretary FLO, and numerous FLO members, alongside prominent women entrepreneurs and business leaders.

 

In her closing remarks, Dr. Charu Chauhan, Chairperson, FLO Uttarakhand, extended her heartfelt gratitude to Shri Abhinav Kumar, DGP Uttarakhand, for his unwavering support in making the event a success. She also acknowledged the meticulous planning by Ms. P Renuka Devi, IPS, DIG Law & Order, whose dedication ensured the event’s smooth execution and a great success.
