AMU Professor delivers talk at a national symposium on Neuro Occlusion
ALIGARH : Prof. Divya Sanjay Sharma, Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dr Z.A. Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a lecture on “Achieving Neuro Occlusion at an Early Age” at a national symposium on “Functional and Orthodontic Management in Developing Malocclusion”, organized during the 45th National ISPPD PG convention, recently held at Bangalore.
Prof Sharma focused on posture correction with the help of reflex releasing occlusal splint after getting the correct positioning of the mandible with some phonetic exercises. She said that child patients, suffering from dental problems might get their head and body posture affected, and if not treated soon, it may result in various musculoskeletal problems and permanent disfiguration of the face as the child grows.
