Nanjing University’s Suzhou Campus Hosts 4th Joint Meeting of College Secretaries and Deans

On the afternoon of October 10, Suzhou Campus held the fourth joint meeting of secretaries and presidents of colleges in Suzhou in 2024. Responsible comrades of colleges and research institutes in Suzhou, responsible comrades of relevant departments of the school, and responsible comrades of various departments of the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Suzhou Campus gathered together to carry out a thematic discussion on “comprehensively supporting the rapid and stable development of colleges in Suzhou”. The heads of the corresponding departments of the campus management committee responded one by one. At the meeting, Chen Rusong, Deputy Director of the Laboratory and Equipment Management Office, introduced the progress of laboratory safety management in Suzhou Campus, and Chen Luhong, Director of the Scientific Research Office of Suzhou Campus, reported on the preliminary plan for the use of buildings in the west area of ​​Suzhou Campus.

Suo Wenbin said in the summary meeting that this joint meeting was a meeting to expand work ideas and to survey work policies, as everyone worked together to condense, investigate and solve problems. He pointed out that the Suzhou campus should follow the requirements of “three ones, three similarities and three avoidances”, further implement the “five development orientations” of the school party committee for the campus, form values ​​that are conducive to the development of new engineering, and constantly unify understanding and form joint forces to promote the rapid development of the various colleges of the Suzhou campus. At present, “people” are the most critical variable in the development of the Suzhou campus. All policies and practices must support and serve people, have people in their eyes, people in their hearts, and people in their systems. He asked all departments of the Management Committee to actively listen to opinions and suggestions, and promote the resolution of issues raised by various colleges and research institutes as soon as possible.
