Tan Tianniu delivered a speech under the national flag. He pointed out that over the past 75 years, the Communist Party of China has led the people of all ethnic groups in the country to forge ahead and create two miracles: rapid economic development and long-term social stability. Nanjing University is connected by blood with the Republic and shares weal and woe with it. In the magnificent picture of the 75 years of New China, it has written a moving and wonderful chapter of Nanjing University. The five-star red flag designed by Nanjing University alumnus Zeng Liansong outlines the red blood of Nanjing University students who are dedicated to the party and the country and are sincere to the people. Generation after generation of Nanjing University students have chewed the roots of vegetables and done great things. They are the new force of scientific and technological self-reliance and the vanguard of cultural inheritance and innovation. The new generation of Nanjing University students must stand on the new starting point of the new era, unite and struggle, strive to be the first, act on their words, and act in response to the trend, and hand in an answer sheet that lives up to history, the times, and the people in their struggle for the party and dedication to the country. Tan Tianniu expects everyone to set great ambitions to strengthen the country and serve the country, and to be fighters who are brave enough to take on responsibilities, so as to make new and greater contributions to accelerating the construction of an education power and comprehensively promoting the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation with Chinese-style modernization.
