Ambassador of Oman, HE Issa Abdullah Saleh Al Shibani, visits BTR Greens MAK Projects, to explore innovations in sustainable development!

 

Hyderabad His Excellency Issa Abdullah Saleh Al Shibani, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to India, visited the BTR Greens MAK Projects, today. The Ambassador was thoroughly impressed with the innovative sustainable Canadian Wood Villa project. He commended the concept of ecofriendly wooden villas and expressed interest in replicating the idea in his country.

The deliberations between the visiting high-level delegation led by the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to India, and the Officials of BTR Greens MAK Projects led by HE Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad, focussed on the issues of sustainability, durability, technology deployed, cost-effectiveness, maintenance of wood structure in desert conditions etc. The discussion also explored opportunities of potential collaboration to develop integrated housing projects with sustainable features in Oman. H.E. Issa Abdullah Saleh Al Shibani and H.E. Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, also emphasized on enhancing diplomatic relations through dedicated sustainable development initiatives. The Hon’ble Ambassador extended an invitation to Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan to visit Oman for further exploration of integrated housing projects.

The Canadian Wood Villa is developed in collaboration with the Canadian Woods, a crown corporation of the Government of British Columbia. This eco-friendly villa exemplifies cutting-edge sustainable construction methods and materials. The villa highlights eco-friendly construction practices and showcases sustainable materials.

This significant visit underscores the mutual interest in sustainable construction and resource-efficient building materials, signalling potential collaborative growth between Oman and India, says H.E. Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan.

H.E. Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan hosted a dinner in honour of H.E. Issa Abdullah Saleh Al Shibani and the visiting high level delegation. The dinner was attended amongst others by Shri Ayodhya Ram Reddy, MP Rajya Sabha; Shri NVS Reddy, Managing Director, Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd.; and N. Balram, IRS, Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
