Three-Day Workshop on AI-Enhanced Power BI Organized
Aligarh : The Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University successfully organized a three-day workshop on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Intelligence (BI) in modern commerce and industry, titled “AI-Enhanced Power BI.” The event brought together experts, faculty, and students to explore how AI and BI are reshaping decision-making processes and enhancing business strategies.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Nesar Ahmad, former Chairman, Department of Computer Engineering, AMU, shared his expertise on the future of AI in business analytics, stressing its growing significance in decision-making processes.
In his keynote address, Prof. S M Imamul Haque, Chairman, Department of Commerce, emphasized the importance of adopting cutting-edge technologies to advance business strategies. He pointed out how AI and BI are transforming industries and enabling companies to remain competitive in a dynamic market.
Prof. Mohd. Asif Khan, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, highlighted the relevance of AI and BI in academia, encouraging students and professionals to stay abreast of technological advancements to thrive in today’s fast-evolving business landscape.
One of the key resource persons, Dr. Kusum Yadav, University of Hail, Saudi Arabia, focused on AI-driven tools and techniques that enhance data visualization, predictive analytics, and reporting.
Prof. Arman Rasool Faridi, Chairman, Department of Computer Science, AMU, spoke on the integration of BI in modern companies, emphasizing its role in improving forecasting and strategic planning.
In his inaugural address Prof. Nawab Ali Khan, Convener of the event, emphasized the growing importance of AI and BI in the business world. He highlighted how these technologies offer businesses a competitive edge.
Dr. Jahangir Chauhan, Coordinator, provided an introduction to the theme, stressing how AI and BI are critical in addressing complex business challenges.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory address by Prof. Aasim Zafar, former Chairman, Department of Computer Science, who encouraged participants to continue exploring AI and BI for future success.
