AMU Students Shine at IIT Indore Symposium with Innovative Voice Assistant and  Smart Attendance System Project

 

Aligarh : Ms. Shaily Bhardwaj and Ms. Anam Khan, final-year students of Diploma in Electronics Engineering at University Women’s Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), showcased their innovative project at a prestigious symposium organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. The event, held on 3rd and 4th October 2024, was in collaboration with IEEE Madhya Pradesh Section, the Hybrid Nanodevice Research Group (HNRG) IIT Indore, and the IEEE Sensors Council of IIT Indore.

Competing under the theme “Advancement in Emerging Technologies: From Idea to Impact,” the students presented their project titled “Beyond Jarvis: Creating Orion-like Voice Assistant,” which also featured a Smart Attendance System. Among 100 participants from institutions like IITs, NITs, and VITs, their project stood out.

Dr. Salma Shaheen, Principal of University Women’s Polytechnic, expressing her confidence in the students, stated that they will continue to excel and bring further accolades to the university with their skills. She also acknowledged the guidance of Mr. Mohd. Shahbaz, lead of Polytechnic RoboClub, and Dr. Mohd Ajmal , Section Incharge for their mentorship.
