Department of Hindi organises induction programme
Aligarh : The Department of Hindi, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised an induction programme for the newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Addressing the students, Prof. Shaheena Tarannum, Chairperson, Department of English highlighted the benefits of studying at AMU, delineating healthy traditions and what the university offers to the students.
Prof. Vibha Sharma, Department of English discussed the safe ambience for girl students and the vibrant cultural and literary atmosphere at the campus.
Prof. Tasneem Suhail from the Hindi Department referred to the cultural traditions of Aligarh Muslim University, describing it as a unique institution that offers cultural enrichment alongside quality academic learning to the students.
While presiding over the event, Prof. M. Ashiq Ali, Chairperson, Department of Hindi urged the students to refrain from any form of discrimination based on caste, religion, community, or gender.
Faculty members including Prof. Iffat Asghar, Prof. Kamalanand Jha, Dr. Pankaj Parashar, Dr. Sana Fatima, Dr. Deepshikha Singh, Dr. Javed Alam, Dr. Ghulam Farid Sabri, and Dr. Shahbaz Ali Khan, along with the first-semester undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the programme, which was coordinated by Prof. Shambhunath.
