Aligarh Muslim University Faculty Delivers Talk
Aligarh : Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), delivered a talk at the IV International Caparica Conference in Translational Forensics 2024, held virtually in Lisbon, Portugal, from October 20 to 24. Organized by the PROTEOMASS Scientific Society, the conference provided a platform for cutting-edge forensic research.
Dr. Kumar presented his paper titled “An Autopsy-Based Study of Human Cranial Vault Thickness and Its Relationship with Body Weight, Stature, Age, Sex, Food Habits, and Ancestry.” His research highlighted obesity-induced thinning in cranial regions and a correlation between diet and cranial vault thickness, noting non-vegetarians with thicker frontal and occipital bones than vegetarians. He emphasized the need for extensive regional studies to refine skull measurement parameters for India.
