ASSOCHAM organised Interactive Session and B2B Meetings with SOHAR Port and Freezone of Oman to Expand Global Business Opportunities

Mumbai : The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in association with SOHAR Port and Freezone of Oman organised an interactive session and B2B meetings with a high-level delegation of senior officials from SOHAR Port and Freezone, Oman. The interactive session was scheduled for 18-19th October 2024 with All-India MSME Association, Laghu Udyog Bharti, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Trades Association Ltd. (RATA), TTC-MIDC Industries Association, TMIA and Solvent Extractors Association of India as support partners.

The two-day event commenced with an interactive session on 18 October, followed by B2B meetings on 19 October 2024. Under the theme “Expanding Your Business in Middle East & USA Via Oman,” the initiative aims to enlighten industrialists and business leaders from Mumbai about the diverse business and investment opportunities available in Oman and the broader Middle East.

Participants gained valuable insights into the advantages and incentives offered by SOHAR Port and Freezone, one of the fastest-growing free zones in the world. Discussions covered SOHAR’s strategic role in providing access to markets in the GCC, Africa, and the U.S., making it an ideal hub for expanding global trade routes. Additionally, attendees briefed on current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the GCC industry, with a special focus on sectors such as Metals and Minerals, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Plastics, and Food Processing.
