Industrial Chemistry students visit CIPET, Dehradun

 

ALIGARH : The fifth-semester B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry and B.Voc. Polymer and Coating Technology students of the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University visited the Central Institute of Petrochemical Engineering and Technology (CIPET) under the Centre for Skilling and Technical Support (CSTS), Dehradun and got an opportunity to know closely various kinds of polymer processing machines, including their principles, processes, and troubleshooting techniques for locating the defects and other manufacturing issues.

The students gained insights into quality control procedures and observed practical demonstrations of quality control instruments in the NABL and BIS accredited laboratory at CIPET. They also explored the Processing, Quality Control, Testing and Production departments to understand the use of various instruments and processes.

The visit was facilitated and guided by faculty members Dr. Rizwan Hussain, Dr. Mohd Shuaib Akhtar and Dr. Rakshanda Rehman, who provided valuable insights and support throughout the educational excursion.

Dr. Shahab Ali Asghar Nami, Chairman, Department of Industrial Chemistry, congratulated the students on the successful completion of the visit and emphasized the department’s commitment to keep providing them with hands-on learning.

Dr. Mohammad Zain Khan, Training and Placement Officer of the department, appreciated the educational endeavour, underscoring its significance in enhancing practical learning experience.
