FCS&CA distributes advance two months ration among beneficiaries in Doda

Doda: Department of Food Civil Supplies &Consumer Affairs Doda on the directions of District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode distributing advance two months ration among the beneficiaries in the district, so that people do not face any problem during ongoing lockdown due to COVID-19.
The officials of FCS&CA informed that department has started distribution of two months advance ration to people in the district. The department has distributed about 84.51 % of advance ration for the month of April and May in the district. It was further informed that Out of 42307.95 Quintal of wheat, flour and rice to be lifted, 35754.63 Quintal has been lifted from FCI and 35754.63 Quintals stands distributed among the beneficiaries.
Department is also distributing rice under PMGKAY for the month of April and It has distributed about 98.37 % Rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana to each soul of AAY, PHH and BPL categories 5KG per month. Out of 13080.60 Quintals of Rice to be lifted, 13080.60 Quintals has been lifted from FCI and 12867.60 Quintal stands distributed among the beneficiaries.
Furthermore, department has distributed Pulses (Gram Channa) under PMGKAY to the beneficiaries @ 1 kg for three months. Out of total 654.67 Quintal of Pulses received from NAFED, 639.34 have been distributed among the beneficiaries.
In addition, District administration Doda has already started a initiative to reach out to the distressed/needy ones, destitute and stranded labourers during the ongoing lock down restrictions, in this regard 885 kits carrying essential commodities stands delivered among the needy ones so far and the process of distribution is in progress across the district.
