Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar Celebrates New-born Baby Week and World Premature Day, Highlighting Success Stories of Premature Infants

Bhubaneshwar – Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar marked the celebration of Newborn Baby Week (15th-21st November) and World Premature Day today with a special event that brought together 60 premature babies and their families. These infants, all born prematurely before 30 weeks with birth weights ranging from 500 grams to 1500 grams, were admitted and treated at the hospital’s state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The event highlighted the critical care and subsequent growth journeys of these premature babies, showcasing how expert treatment and continuous monitoring have helped many of them thrive. Some of the babies, who were initially in critical condition, are now growing well with the help of Manipal Hospital’s experienced NICU team. Parents shared their touching experiences of their babies’ NICU stay, the challenges faced during the critical care period, and the subsequent follow-up care provided after discharge.
