AMU faculties conduct workshop in Alexandria

Aligarh : Professor Divya Sanjay Sharma and Dr. Imam Azam, from the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dr. Z. A. Dental College and Hospital, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducted a workshop in the Alexandria International Dental Congress-2024 held recently. The congress was organised by the Egyptian Paediatric Dentistry Association in collaboration with the Arabic Society of Paediatric Dentistry.

The workshop was based on “Ortho Assistant”, a Web application in Dentistry, developed by Prof. Divya Sanjay Sharma. The application is meant for complex multi-step dental analysis (Model as well as Cephalometric) needed especially in mixed dentition period for planning the early orthodontic treatment in a child.

In the nine hours’ workshop, Dr. Imam Azam talked about how to explore this mobile and web application.

Prof. Divya Sanjay Sharma delivered a lecture about the clinical applicability and uses of this “Ortho Assistant” web app in making the diagnosis and treatment plan.

Quiz competition was also held, followed by a live demonstration of the application.

Prof. Divya Sanjay Sharma also delivered a lecture on the topic “Neuromuscular Occlusion”, in the congress.
