AMU team attends centenary celebrations of Johns Hopkins University, and India partnership
Aligarh : A team from the Department of Social Work, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) attended the centennial celebration of Johns Hopkins University, USA and India Partnership.
Johns Hopkins University President Ronald J. Daniels and a delegation from the University visited India for an evening of celebration that highlights the rich history, current impact, and future possibilities of the Hopkins-India partnerships at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The Department of Social Work, AMU is having an MoU with Johns Hopkins University (JHU) for research over maternal and newborn health and safety.
Prof. Naseem Ahmad Khan, Chairperson, Department of Social Work, AMU and PI-India Site, Dr. Mohammad Tahir and Dr. Mohd Arif Khan from the Department of Social Work and Dr. Bushra Sabri, Associate Professor, PI from Johns Hopkins University attended the event.
Prof. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, Chairperson, University Grants Commission (UGC), while gracing the occasion remarked that National Education Policy 2020 is a visionary step towards an education system that prepares India’s youth to excel in a global academic and research realm.
Ronald J. Daniels delivered the keynote address highlighting the rich history, current impact, and future possibilities of the Hopkins-India partnerships. He expressed support for sustained collaboration in future between JHU and AMU.
