Investiture ceremony held at AMU City Girls’ High School

Aligarh : The AMU City Girls’ High School organised its investiture ceremony that marked the formal induction of the Students’ Council for the academic year 2024-25.

The Principal Mr. M. Javed Akhtar welcomed the guests and attendees and highlighted the significance of leadership in nurturing a vibrant school community.

The chief guest Dr. Shagufta Moin, Professor, Department of Biochemistry, JN Medical College congratulated the new members of the Students’ Council for their dedication and commitment. She told the student to be good, humble, well disciplined in life and life will reward you. She further advised the students to optimum use of  social media platforms, junk food and have healthy competition with your peers.

The pinnacle of the ceremony was the oath-taking, administered by the Principal, where each member of the Students’ Council pledged to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and service.

Ms Arshin of Class XA was elected as the Head Girl and Ms Aqsa of Class XB as the Vice Head Girl of the school. Other members of the Students’ Council were also felicitated by the chief guest and the Principal. The young leaders, standing with pride and resolve, were reminded of the responsibilities and challenges they would face as representatives of their peers.

Motivational speaker Ms. Princy Bhardwaj, an alumnus of the school called upon the student leaders to remain steadfast, compassionate, and innovative in their roles, emphasising the importance of collaboration and respect in leadership.

Earlier, the chief guest was greeted with a guard of honour by the students.

Ms. Farzana Nazeer proposed a vote of thanks, while Ms. Urooja Khan conducted the programme.
