Director Animal Husbandry takes stock of medicines, health care facilities at centres

Jammu: Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu today visited various centres to review the availability of medicines and health care facilities provided at the centres.
The Director visited various centres including VAS Nank Nagar, FAC Paloura , V.D.Gujar Colony, SPCA Roop Nagar, RCD Subash Nagar , and Pouni Chak farm. It was observed that proper hygiene , social distancing and protocol of Covid-19 was being followed properly at centers. The staff of the centres was advised to make all medicine, vaccine etc. available for the farmers.
At Roop Nagar SPCA Centre Director advised the concerned staff to ensure the proper health care to stray animals. It was also impressed to take proper care of indoor animals in respect of medicines, vaccine and treatment etc. He also directed them follow proper protocol, hygiene and social distancing during lock down period.
At Pouni Chak farm the Director asked the concerned staff to take proper care of heifer and pregnant animals of the farm in all respect. It was observed that the process of sowing fodder was going smoothly. It was also advised to make the proper and adequate use of fodder to the animals kept in the farm.
