DC Reasi provides Rs 5.65 lakhs financial assistance to building workers through DBT

Reasi: The Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib disbursed an amount of Rs 5. 65 lakhs as 2nd financial installment among the beneficiaries of Building and other Construction Workers through DBT mode during the COVID-19 pandemic.
DC hailed the Labour Department Reasi headed by Assistant Labour Commissioner Pradyot Gupta for its proactive efforts in giving financial assistance to poor labourers.
It was also informed that Labour department has also distributed 2600 number of masks to needy and poor people and counseled 957 workers in coordination with Employment Department.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier Labour department has released 1st installment of Rs 5.80 lakhs for purchase of ration during the month of March to active construction workers.
