Madhya Pradesh Industry deparment holds Webinar with USISPF to attract American Companies to M.P.

Bhopal : Keeping in view the industrial scenario after the Covid-19 pandemic, as per the instructions of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the top officials of Madhya Pradesh held discussions by way of Webinar with various American Companies through US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) to attract them to invest in Madhya Pradesh. The Additional Chief Secretary Commercial Taxes Shri I.C.P. Keshri, Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, and Managing Director MPIDC Shri Vivek Porwal took part in the webinar.

The top officials of Pepsi, Caterpillar, Cummins, Varian Medical, Nike, Walmart and other American companies participated in the webinar. On this occasion, Dr. Rajoura informed about the favourable environment for industries in Madhya Pradesh and also assured that in the future, if any American company wants to relocate to India from any part of the world, Madhya Pradesh will provide it all the facilities as per the requirement. Whichever industry will set up its unit in Madhya Pradesh after migrating from China, the government will formulate a different policy for it. At the same time, work is underway on a special package to attract the companies in the state.

On this occasion, American companies showed keen interest in the opportunities available in the state. The investors of American companies were seen very enthusiastic about the amendments made in the labour laws and the concessions to be given during the first 1000 days on new investments.

Shri Porwal said that the cost of doing business in Madhya Pradesh is very competitive and several important steps have been taken by the government to reduce the cost. That include license of power distribution in selected industrial areas by MPIDC.

The Additional Chief Secretary Shri Keshri assured full support to every American Company, which has its existence in Madhya Pradesh and at the same time invited American companies to invest in Madhya Pradesh.

These steps of the Madhya Pradesh government are timely steps taken to attract those companies to the state, which want to migrate from China in future and certainly these steps will yield wide ranging results in the coming times.
