COVID-19: DLCW distributes personal Health care items among needy
Rajouri: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh and under the supervision of DSEO Rajouri and nodal officer of BBBP, Bilal Rashid Mir, the District Level Centre for Women Rajouri today distributed face masks and sanitizers to the homeless, migrants and nomadic tribes who have been staying under bridges, on pavements and at other public places in various areas of the district.
As the world grapples with the Covid-19 pandemic, Jammu and Kashmir is reeling under yet another lockdown; this time is to curb the spread of the virus. Working hand in hand with the district administration, Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer) Rajouri along with her entire team including District Co-ordinators namely Sanjana Thakur and Nazma Sheikh distributed hundreds of hand sanitizers and face masks to the people in need.
Anum Mirza said that “our teams are reaching out to the people and trying to ensure that all are safe and they have all the essentials they need to protect themselves from getting infected”.
