ZHCETIANS bagged first Prize

Aligarh: In the challenging time of COVID-19 pandemic, when we are facing lockdown the Aligarh Muslim University continues to steal the show as its students team comprising Mohammed Asif Zamir (Team Leader) and Danish Khan,( Department of Computer Engineering, ZHCET (AMU) participated in DE-COVIDETHON and presented their design idea on “Remote Monitoring of Patients and applying Deep Learning on the collected Dataset to predict COVID-19” organized by Dare2Compete (D2C). The team named ZHCETIANS bagged the first Prize out of 792 total participants from across the country. The award carries an amount of Rs 30,000 with full Intellectual Property Rights. The best 15 ideas will be forwarded to the government by the organizers.

The objective is to restrict the COVID-19 suspected persons at their location so that they cannot further infect other persons through their movement to hospital particularly the doctors and medical staffs, the frontline warriors. It was proposed to develop a portable and wearable system comprising different sensors which is provided to the suspected person at their location so that they can wear it, informed, M Asif Zamir (team Leader)

The innovative design idea that bagged the first prize provides a solution to remote Monitoring of Patients and applying deep learning on the collected database to predict COVID-19 Spread and was conducted under the mentorship Prof Mohammad Sarosh Umar (Chairman, Department of Computer Engineering).

By organizing such events, the organizer De-Cov Ideathon aimed at tapping the intelligent minds and citizens of the country to find solutions and to provide channels for them to officially take it up to the concerned authorities.
