Bhopal : Governor Shri Lalji Tandon has called upon the traders to build a new India by using the resources provided under the economic package following the path of Swadeshi. Shri Tandon said that there is corona crisis, but also there is new opportunity for quality improvement and economic progress. The need is to recognize our strengths and to take a resolution to move in a new direction. Shri. Tandon was addressing the video conference organized by the Confederation of All India Traders from Raj Bhavan today. The conference was attended by the members of the business community from different parts of the country.
Shri Tandon said the whole world is grappling with the corona crisis. The leadership of the country is positive. He is concerned about everyone. Everyone has been taken care of in the bold move of the economic package. The economic package has immense potential. Arrangements have been made for farmers, traders, labourers, youth, women, industries etc. He said that we should contemplate how to take advantage of it, what new should be done, what should be improved to enhance the current trade and business. The organization should lead its members in this direction, he added.
The Governor further said that the effect of the resolution of women empowerment taken by the Prime Minister is visible in the form of achievements of women in every field Women in all urban and rural areas are working in small and micro industries. This corona crisis has open up new avenues of economic self-reliance and development for women. Today the government is encouraging women in every sector and society is with them. The indigenous system of khadi and handicrafts is prevailing in the country. This is a good opportunity to increase this system. The government has shown its intention by announcing the economic package, so that you can increase your work. There is good demand for handmade goods in the world. We have to take advantage of this opportunity.
In the video conference, the National President of CAT Shri B.C. Bhartiya said that CAT is an apex institution of 7 crore traders, which has 40 thousand institutions connected directly and indirectly. He has said that as per the Prime Minister’s intention of making 5 trillion economy, the organization is striving to connect 50 percent of the female population with the economy. A free of cost, e-market for indigenous products is also being launched to make local vocal and global. No charge will be taken from the traders. Home delivery of products is also being started. President of CAT Madhya Pradesh Shri Bhupendra Jain informed that the initiative to promote Digital India in the state by connecting universities with digital payment first time in the country was taken by Governor Shri Tandon. Shri Jain said that the e-commerce portal will be completely indigenous and be launched in the month of June. He said that by December this year, one crore traders will be connected with this portal to make it the world’s largest portal. Women entrepreneurs from different states of the country also expressed their views and expectations in the video conference.
