Student from Aditya Birla World Academy joins hands with other students to Steer-A-Change

Mumbai: As the pandemic grows world over and the national mandated lockdown continues, students of many schools have been productively utilizing their time during this lockdown to raise money for charity. In this COVID-19 lockdown, most cars have just been parked and are gathering dust. Since the majority of the housing societies are not allowing domestic help living outside the premises to enter, there is nobody to wash the idle cars.

Student Aarushi Jhaveri from Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA), one of Mumbai’s leading International schools along with other students decided to clean the cars in their society and raise some money for charity. They have already collected over Rs. 75,000 by washing cars and have dedicated this amount for the benefit of “Martyrs of Kashmir”. The young students have also made a short film and started a group called “Steer-A-Change”.

Aarushi Jhaveri, from Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA) said, “I am happy to be a part of this initiative and spend our free time washing cars and raising money for a good cause. I feel productive and very positive working together with other children in my society to be able to help others in our own little way.”
