Yi Li from Peking University selected as the World Economic Forum’s Young Scientists of 2020

Peking: The World Economic Forum announced Class of 2020 Young Scientists to honor 25 extraordinary young academics across the world at the forefront of scientific discovery. Assistant Professor Yi Li from the School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences at Peking University was on the list.

Yi Li’s research interest mainly focuses on autism spectrum disorder. Combining with clinical and cognitive methods, she has been working on the social-communicative impairments in children with autism and their cognitive mechanism. Her research results were published in international journals of developmental psychology and clinical psychology, including Child Development, Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Science, and Autism Research.

The World Economic Forum selects exceptional researchers under the age of 40 as its Young Scientists to recognize their contributions to advancing science studies, improving human health and promoting social equality. The research areas of the 25 Young Scientists of 2020 cover future vaccines, wearable bio-sensors, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, tissue engineering, and aerospace navigation. They come from 14 countries and regions, and five of them are from China.
