Class 12 Students from The National Public School, Indiranagar, Bangalore, support underprivileged families through ImpactGuru fundraiser

Students of Class 12 NPS Indiranagar and 1M1B Future Leaders Adarsh and Dishita started Aajeevika, a non-profit initiative to help families belonging to the lower-income strata in the times of COVID-19, in collaboration with a not for profit organization.

Due to the lockdown imposed, a huge number of people have lost their jobs and the people belonging to the lower-income community are the worst hit. These people have lost their only sources of livelihood and cannot afford any commodities owing to their already low income. Basic necessities including ration and hygiene items are unavailable to them.

Adarsh and Dishita decided to initiate a crowdfunding campaign to sustain as many families. In a span of 3 weeks, their ImpactGuru fundraiser raised over Rs. 2.50 lakh. With the funds raised, kits containing ration and hygiene items were provided to over 250 families.

“We distributed kits containing ration and hygiene items to several families belonging to lower income families. It was a very humbling and a gratifying experience to say the least. The smiles on their faces and the gratitude in their eyes after receiving the kits made us realise the worth of what we are doing and gave us immense joy and a boost of motivation to continue to help them in the best way that we can. Thank you so much to each one of you for your love and support!” said Team Aajeevika.
