Fine Arts students participate in Virtual International Art Exhibition
Aligarh: As the life came to a standstill during lockdown owing to COVID-19 pandemic, for the students of Department of Fine Arts, Aligarh Muslim University, canvas and brush became their medium of expression.
Not only these students painted beautiful expressive artworks depicting various shades of life but nearly seven of them even participated in a Virtual International Art Exhibition organised in May. Artists from 26 countries participated in this exhibition where the work of AMU Fine Arts students was applauded.
The students include Nagma Shamim, Rohma, Sidra Rizvi, Rukhsana Ansari, Sadaf Khatoon, Divya Varma, and Zainub Chaudhary of the Department of Fine Arts, AMU, Aligarh.
This was the first edition of the virtual international exhibition titled ‘Bridge of Brotherhood and Tolerance’, organised by the Association of World Artists.
Prof Badar Jahan, (Chairperson, Department of Fine Arts) said, since exhibitions at Art Galleries are not possible during Covid-19 pandemic, virtual exhibition is the only way out. “Organisers are now selecting works of the artists for displaying them in virtual exhibitions. Our students were also invited for the same”, she said.
“The efforts of these students will surly motivate other students of Fine Arts to utilise their time seeking opportunities to explore new avenues for their creative ideas”, she added.
