Govt Polytechnic Jammu organizes online painting competition
Jammu: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu organized Online Painting competition as a part of campaign Defeat Covid-19 Competition-IX on the theme “Time for Nature” to create environment awareness among students.
Director, Skill Development Department, J&K, Sajad Hussain Ganai, appreciated the efforts of the college in organizing series of activities, competitions and holding online classes since lockdown to engage the students in constructive activities to lift their morale amid lockdown.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college appreciated the wholehearted participation of the Students in various competitions. He said that College is effectively conducting the Online class, Webinars and various Online activities/competitions and such steps are taken to ensure that students doesn’t suffer due to lockdown of the college in the current situation.
A large number of the students participated in the Painting competition and expressed their creativity. The First Position in Painting Competition was shared by Akshay Verma, 6th semester, Mechanical Engg and Akhil Thapa, 4th semester Automobile Engg stream.
Second position was shared by Ashish Balotra, 6th semester, Electrical Engg and Aryan Mahajan of 4th Semester, Civil Engg.
The 3rd prize was also shared by Rashika Bazaz, 5th semester Travel & Tourism and Apurva Mishra, 2nd semester, Information Technology and Consolation prize went to Grinder Kumar Kumar, 2nd semester, Civil Engg.
The work of the students was judged by faculty members Amit Sharma, Lecturer, Travel & Tourism, Itika Sharma, Demonstrator Electrical Engg, Akash Dasgotra, Instructor and Antima Manhas, Instructor, Basholi Painting.
