UK Aligarh Medical Association and AMU Jazan Alumni virtual meet on COVID-19

Aligarh: The Aligarh Medical Association UK in collaboration with the Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association of Jazan, Saudi Arabia organised a meeting on Covid-19 nCorona Virus pandemic. The virtual meeting titled ?Covid-19 Pandemic: The story behind the headlines? was held on Friday June 26, 2020 and was well attended.

Prof. Tariq Mansoor, Vice Chancellor (AMU), delivered the inaugural address and provided a valuable overview of how Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (AMU) were working on the frontline to deliver high quality care and management, both locally in Aligarh and to a big chunk of Uttar Pradesh.

The meeting was arranged and hosted by Dr Khalid Rizvi (President of the AMA-UK) and Dr Syed Kashif Ali (Member Secretary of the AMU Alumni Association of Jazan).

Speakers at the meeting included Dr Habib Ahmad (Boston, UK), Prof Mohammad Shameem (JNMCH, AMU), Dr Farooq Ahmad (Riyadh) and Dr Athar Ahmad (Jazan).

The talks were followed by an interactive session which addressed several questions posed by participants from the UK, Saudi Arabia and India.
