DC Samba reviews functioning of PMAGY
Samba: To review implementation of centrally sponsored Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana in Samba district, Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, today convened a meeting of district officers and took appraisal regarding achievements and pendency under PMAGY.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman, Chief Planning officer, Sukhleen Kour, District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar besides other concerned officials were also present.
During the meeting, District Development Commissioner directed the Nodal Officer of PMAGY for preparation of interim Village Development Plan (iVDP) based on infrastructure need assessment only and submission of same for early sanctioning of development works.
DDC was apprised regarding achievements made during previous year under PMAGY. It was informed that 27 villages have been identified under the scheme in the district for development of village infrastructure and Rs. 26.39 lakh expenditure has been incurred on this account till date.
ACD informed that total works identified by village level PMAGY committee were 88, of which, 77 were sanctioned by district level committee. Besides, at present 32 works have been completed while 36 are under progress and rest are yet to be taken up.
DDC directed the DSWO to complete the interim village development plan at the earliest based on infrastructure Gap Survey. He also asked the concerned to submit action taken report in his office at the earliest.
He asked the concerned officers for expediting the pace of progress on all ongoing development works under PMAGY for timely completion.
