Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan urges ministers to work diligently for people of the state

Bhopal : A meeting of the newly formed Cabinet was held in Mantralaya today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the ministers on this occasion and expected them to work diligently in the interest of the people of the state. He said that the ministers should work in coordination as per the suggestions of MLAs and other people’s representatives and ensure the welfare of the people of the state. The economy that has been adversely affected due to Corona will also recover gradually and it will not take time to change Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains gave detailed information about the important decisions taken by the state government in the last three months. Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman gave a presentation on the efforts made for the control of Covid-19 in the state and the current situation.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have to work for the seven and a half crore people of the state. We should work with full ability, concentration and diligence to fulfil this responsibility not for ourselves but for the common man. I hope that all ministers will diligently fulfill the responsibility assigned to them. Shri Chouhan said that efforts should be made to ensure unrivalled hard work besides transparency and credibility should also be established. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have to work as a team. The current Corona crisis has affected the economy adversely. Despite this, we should work with full potential, joy and happiness. He told to make every effort to keep the people of the state healthy and benefit them from development while taking care of your own health and work with a sense of affection, courtesy, friendship and cooperation. On this occasion, the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that a meeting of the Cabinet will be held on every Tuesday. He urged the ministers to work on Monday and Tuesday by staying in the capital Bhopal.

Covid-19 controlled successfully with public support in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed at the meeting that efforts to control Covid-19 in Madhya Pradesh have been successful. Corona positive patients are being given free treatment in government hospitals and government-contracted private hospitals. Work has been done under the I.I.T.T. strategy in the state. The first effort made was Identification of the disease, then the system of Isolation for the patients. Proper treatment was arranged by enhancing testing capacity. The Kill-Corona campaign has started from July 1 under which house-to-house survey is being conducted. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan urged the ministers to participate in this campaign and make people aware. The usefulness of Ayurvedic kadha has been proven. The public should also be motivated for its use. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that at present, all necessary efforts are being made to control the occurrence of positive cases in Morena region. The growth rate of Corona in Madhya Pradesh is lower than in other states. In comparison to India’s average growth rate of 3.63, the Corona growth rate in Madhya Pradesh is less than half, that is, just 1.48. In recovery rate, Madhya Pradesh is second in the country, with 75 percent recoveries. Reports of positive cases still continue to come from Neemuch, Burhanpur, Gwalior and Sagar. Accordingly, necessary steps are also being taken immediately. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that Madhya Pradesh ranked fourth in terms of infection in the country three and a half months ago. Currently, Madhya Pradesh is in the 13th position. Citizens have extended support in the efforts of the state government while adhering to social distancing, use of masks and precautions like not spitting anywhere.

Prevention from Corona infection

In a presentation Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman informed that a capacity of 9800 Corona tests has been developed daily in the state. A total of 78 testing labs are operational. The average death rate in the state was once more than 11 percent, which has now been reduced to less than 2 percent at present. The positivity rate in the state is 3.8 against 6.6 percent in the country. Madhya Pradesh contributed to 9 percent of Corona infection in the country, which has been reduced to as low as 1.2 percent. Only 17 percent of the normal beds, oxygen beds and ICU beds provided to the patients are being used in the state. At present, 24 thousand 235 normal beds, 8924 oxygen beds and 317 ICU beds are available in the state. Sarthak App provides information to patients and helps in their treatment.

There are 852 fever clinics operating in the state. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has supervised the work of Corona control during more than three and a quarter month’s in continuous review through video conference and meetings for almost 275 hours. The Chief Minister’s Covid Warrior Welfare Scheme 2020 has been implemented so far benefiting families of 20 Covid warriors.
