PMGSY road being constructed with Eco Green Technology in Rajouri village

Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Friday inspected progress on PMGSY Chowkian to Sankari road, which is being constructed with Eco Green Technology.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by District Statistical and Evaluation Officer, Bilal Rashid Mir; Executive Engineer PMGSY, Subash Sharma and Assistant Executive Engineer PMGSY, Karan Jeet Singh.
The Executive Engineer PMGSY informed that the construction cost of the road is Rs 3.35 crore and its length is 5.7 Kms and the work on the road shall be completed by December 2020.
It was highlighted that Eco-Green technology has been used in the construction of the road in which the easily available materials like clay, plastic waste are used for the construction purpose.
He added that this technology has been adopted to ensure that there is no risk of damage to the environment during the process of construction.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the innovative technique and noted that there is a dire need to minimise the risk on the environment , which can be done by the use of these kind of technologies. He asked the concerned officers to construct more roads in the district with this technique to save the environment from being damaged.
