CM Punjab answers SAS Nagar resident on weekly live facebook session ‘#AskCaptain’
In the weekly live facebook session ‘#AskCaptain’, Chief Minister Punjab Capt. Amrinder Singh replied to the query of SAS Nagar resident Rupesh Jagoria who had asked as to why bike/car challans are not permitted to be filed online since offline paying of challans is troublesome and adds to corruption . Replying to him, Chief Minister said that directions would be passed to the Deputy Commissioners to incorporate the online challan payment system.
Earlier in his address to people CM updated the Covid-19 Status in the State and informed that cases are rising; infact in the past week, we have been getting around 300 cases daily, informed he. The Chief Minister also informed that Maximum cases reported last week are from 5 districts namely Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala and Mohali, constituting 70% of the new cases reported.
He made an Appeal to the public not to gather anywhere in large numbers; whether it is political parties, associations or unions. He asked the people to follow the safety protocols as irresponsible behaviour on our part can prove serious for the larger community.
The Chief Minister informed that State government would provide 10 lakh cloth masks free of cost to the needy state-wide and anyone who requires them, can be informed to contact DCs or SSPs for them.
