AMUGS organises Art and Craft Exhibition

 

Aligarh: Paintings, craft-work, needle work, hand-made jewellery, household decorative and wall hangings were on display at the Aligarh Muslim University Girls School (AMUGS). These artistic pieces by Class V to Class VIII AMU school students were showcased in an Art and Craft Exhibition organised by AMUGS.

The Exhibition was organized as a part of the ongoing Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s Bicentenary celebrations.

The judges, Dr Rehana Khan, Ms Farhat Jahan, Ms Arfeen Bano and Ms Safia Sultana gave the first, second and third prizes of the senior wing to Azaa Junaid, Lashka Rajput and Aqsa Saleem respectively.

In the junior wing, Filza Zahid and Himani Sharma bagged the first prize. Zehreen and Fatima Kashif won the second prize. Aiman Zoha, Kumari Priya abd Kumari Shivani were given the third prize. Mariya Firoz received the consolation prize.

Dr Sabir Hasan (Retd teacher, AMUGS) and Prof Poonam Chauhan (Department of Education, AMU) attended the function as special guests. Mrs Amina Malik (Principal, AMUGS), Mrs Arshi Zafar Khan and Mrs Zeba Nawaz were also present on the occasion.
