Industrial area will be expanded in Agar, Barod, Susner and Nalkheda: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government is farmer friendly. The state government stands shoulder to shoulder with them, farmers should not worry. He said that the losses of farmers will be compensated through insurance money and compensation. The loss of farmers in soybean crop will also be assessed. The government will help the farmers in every way possible. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that no stone will be left unturned in the development works in Agar district. He said that industrial area will be expanded in Agar, Barod, Nalkheda and Susner. Small industrial units will be set up, so that employment opportunities can be provided to the unemployed.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the programme organized for bhoomi pujan of construction works and distribution of benefits in beneficiary-oriented schemes in Barod Krishi Upaj Mandi of Agar-Malwa district on Sunday. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of construction works worth Rs 7791.42 lakh in Agar Malwa and distributed benefits to the eligible beneficiaries under beneficiary-oriented schemes.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that an amount of Rs 4688 crore of crop insurance has been deposited in the account of 22 lakh farmers of the state. Instructions have also been given to the district administration to probe into the cases in which farmers have received less amount of insurance and are not satisfied with the benefits of the insurance company. He said that the state government is committed to the welfare of the poor. Food grain slips were made and distributed to all eligible families of the state with the concept of “Gareeb ki thali, kabhi na rahe khali”, they will now get ration at the concessional rate of Re 1 kg. Those poor who are still deprived of foodgrain eligibility slips will also be given benefits.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that no poor will have kuchha house in the next 3 years; they will be provided houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Water will be made available in all villages through Tap-water scheme in the next 3 years. Arrangement will be also made for the farmers for sufficient irrigation water. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan further stated that the payment of exorbitant electricity bills, received by the people bills during the corona period, has been deferred. From the next month onward, they have to pay only one month bill.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the working capital of Rs. 10 thousand without interest will be made available to the street vendors in the form of loan, to enable them to connect with employment again. He instructed the officials that benefit of scheme should be ensured to maximum number of urban and rural street vendors in district. He further mentioned that work for women empowerment is being done with full capacity. A financial assistance of Rs. 1400 crore will be given to self-help groups. CM Shri Chouhan said that the children of the state will not face any monetary problem in pursuing education. The state government will bear the fee for pursuing studies in IIT, Medical and for other technical courses.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan stated that recruitment will be done soon in police, health and on the post of teachers. He also informed about the construction of Bapcha Dam and other irrigation ponds. Minister for Higher Education Dr. Mohan Yadav, MLA Susner Shri Vikram Singh, Jila Panchayat President Smt. Kalabai Guhatiya were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan visited the farm of the farmer Smt. Rukmabai of Pipliya Vijay village and took stock of soybean crop. He said that the compensation will be given after conducting survey of the crop.
