Begin process to fill vacant posts in government departments immediately – CM Chouhan
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to begin the process of filling vacant posts in the departments of Home, Revenue, Public Works, Jail, Education and other departments immediately. Recruitment is estimated for about 25 thousand posts including about 15 thousand teachers and 10 thousand posts in other departments.
In a meeting held at the CM House, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the process of filling the vacant posts in the departments should be completed to ensure smooth conduct of public welfare works. Action should be taken at the Professional Examination Board, Public Service Commission and departmental level in this regard. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reviewed the recruitment of posts at the departmental level and instructed to adopt the entire process in a holistic way.
Adherence to norms of recruitment process must be ensured
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the recruitment process should be completed keeping in mind the essential rules and procedures relating to filling of the vacant posts. According to an estimate, PEB will conduct examinations in the coming months for about 10 thousand posts. These include 3272 posts of Police Constable under Home Department, 863 posts of Rural Agriculture Extension Officer and Senior Agriculture Development Officer in Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department, 493 posts of Constable Radio Cadre in Home Department, 372 posts of Revenue Inspector, 302 posts of ITI Training Officer in Directorate of Skill Development. Apart from this, posts like Shorthand writer Assistant Grade-3, Steno Typist, Stenographer, Data Entry Operator, Statistics Officer and Peon, Chowkidar, Ward boy, Cleaner, Watermen and Cooks will be recruited in various departments.
Preparations for holding examinations in progress
It was informed in the meeting that Primary School Teacher Eligibility Test is proposed in December 2020. Currently, preparations are also being made to conduct various examinations of Directorate of Technical Education, Department of Animal Husbandry and Department of Agriculture by PEB. These exams are proposed in October and November 2020 according to academic session. A large number of applications have been received for these posts. As many as 6.57 lakh applications have been received this year for teachers only. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Agriculture Production Commissioner Shri K.K. Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Manish Rastogi, Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade and other officials were present in the meeting.
