ACWS to Celebrate UN International Day of Girl Child

Aligarh: To commemorate United Nation’s International Day of the Girl Child, on 11th October, 2020, the Advanced Centre for Women?s Studies is organising an International Competition. The competition will include short story writing and poetry recitation on different topics that try to encapsulate the spirit of this year’s theme ‘My voice, our equal future’.

The proposed topics for poetry recitation are ‘The woman I am’, ‘Crossing the Boundaries’, ‘Dreams, Reality and Change’. For short story writing, the two topics are ‘Standing at the Crossroads’, ‘If I have to write my will’, according to Prof Azra Musavi (Director, ACWS)

Participants for poetry recitation are requested to send their entries in form of video (along with the poetry text) and participants for short story are requested to send their scripts between11th to 15th October, 2020.

Top five entries in each category will be displayed on ACWS website and will be published in Centre’s In-House magazine, ‘Vision’. E-certificates will be given to all participants as an acknowledgment of their contribution.
