My Town My Pride begins in Poonch

Poonch:The first of its kind urban public outreach programme, ‘My Town My Pride’ began with verve across all the UlBs of Poonch district.
As a part of this programme, a number of activities were carried out in the urban areas which witnessed an enthusiastic and overwhelming response from the general public.
The visiting officers visited the assigned ULBs and held interactive meetings with the ULB members, frontline Government functionaries, social activists and prominent citizens and recorded their grievances and suggestions for further course of action.
They also interacted with the field functionaries of the departments and asked them to put in their best efforts to provide all the essential services to the general public at their doorsteps
The field functionaries of different departments present on the occasion made the public aware of the Government schemes and flagship programmes being implemented in the district by the departments and educated them about the procedure to get the benefits of the same.
The visiting officers, Sarmed Hafiz Administrative secretary Youth Services and sports visited to tehsil Haveli and inspected the progress on a number of ongoing developmental works being executed by different departments. He also inspected the Government institutions like Anganwadi centres, schools, health institutions to take stock of the facilities.
The visiting officers also reviewed the progress on issuance of revenue documents, Scholarship, Ayushman cards, pension of different categories, water and power connections and other Government services being made available to the general public.
Member Service Selection Board, Mohammad Shafiq Chak, visited MC Surankote and listened to the demands as well as problems of the locals. He also inspected various developmental works. During the programme, the Visiting Officer distributed sports kits, Baby Kits, domicile certificates and other revenue documents. Besides, he also inaugurated the road from Jama masjid to marriage Hall in ward no.10 and also handed over the key of newly constructed house under PMAY-urban to the beneficiary.
