DIC Poonch hosts Webinar-cum Training program for entrepreneurs

Poonch: A Webinar-cum-Training Programme was today organized by District industries Centre Poonch in collaboration with GeM, Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India for registration on GeM Portal.
At the outset, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav who was the chief guest, welcomed all the participants, while General Manager, DIC, Manzoor Hussain gave a brief outline of the training process & shed light on the importance & implication of the GeM Portal vis a vis business community willing to buy & sell their commodities or products on a common and one stop shop platform.
Over 150 entrepreneurs participated in the live training imparted by the GeM in collaboration with the finance Department. The guest training faculty, Kush Tyagi, provided valuable inputs regarding the introduction, its inception & registration on GeM Portal.
The event was held on the directions and supervision of commissioner Secretary to Government, Industries and Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi and Director Industries and Commerce, Jammu, Anoo Malhotra.
At the end of the training, a question answer session was also held wherein the entrepreneurs raised various queries which were satisfactorily responded by the guest faculty.
Besides this, the officers of the DIC Poonch gave a detailed description of Entrepreneurs Development Scheme with special thrust on PMEGP along with the procedure of different registrations e.g. Udyam, UAM & GeM. The participants were also invited to register themselves with DIC Poonch to avail the benefits in the form of subsidies provided by the Government for the economic uplift of the local entrepreneurs with special focus on traditional artisans.
State Taxes Officer, Ashiq Rafiq also briefed the gathering regarding GST registration & timely submission of GST Returns. At the end, Functional Managers, Tariq Aziz & Zamood Ahmed presented vote of thanks to the participants and assured all possible assistance in registration process on GeM Portal from DIC office Poonch.
Others who attended the online training session included Assistant Director Handloom & Handicraft, District Informatics Officer, Poonch and the staff of DIC Poonch.
