DDC Kulgam reviews winter preparedness

Kulgam: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements in view of forthcoming winter season.
During the meeting he impressed upon the officers to remain available at headquarters for redressal of public grievances and for better coordination in dealing with snow clearance operations in the district.
The concerned officer from the Mechanical Engineering department briefed the DDC about the availability of snow clearance machines in the district.
The DDC directed the concerned authorities to activate their control rooms and equip them with adequate manpower to cater the needs of the general public in coming winters especially snowing days.
He sought inter departmental coordination for effective response for any eventuality in the approaching winter session.
He asked the officers that the reaction time should be prompt during the winter months so that the snow clearance plan is effectively implemented.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to remain available for the people for early redressal of public grievances and remain present at headquarter.
