DACYP Kathua discusses annual action plan of NYK

Kathua: A meeting of District Advisory Committee on Youth Programme( DACYP) of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua was today held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kathua, O.P. Bhagat, to finalize Annual Action Plan of Nehru Yuva Kendra(NYK) for the year 2020-21.

Threadbare discussions were held regarding the core programmes activities to be taken up in the current calendar year besides other focus areas by Kathua unit of Nehru Yuva Kendra.

It was informed in the meeting that Under Core Programmes, NYK Kathua will organize activities and programmes on Aatam Nirbhar Bharat- Youth Mapping, Skilling and handholding, Orientation of Youth, Personal Contact programme and facilitation campaign, Education in Basic Vocations, Digital Felicitation-prepare a cadre of Bank Mitras, Career Counseling and Guidance and career Mela, COVID-19 ongoing campaigns and post lockdown interventions etc.

The DC stressed on initiating the concept of healthy Youth Clubs Movement in District Kathua so that youth energy can be channelized in social and other development activities by providing them a platform at village level. He said the youth health club will play an active role in village development, employment generation, sports & culture promotion, Panchayat Raj activities, flagship programmes. He also focused on inter-departmental coordination and collaboration with NYK for effective implementation and sustainability of Youth Programmes and make them result oriented with special focus on Atama Nirbhar Bharat.

Among others Nodal Officer Health, PO DRDA, LDM, Incharge NCC GDC, Director RSETI, District Information officer, AD handicraft, DYSSO, Secretary Red Cross, officials of JKEDI, and Employment attended the meeting.
