Awareness programme on MSK, other women centric Schemes held at KhanSaheb

Budgam: District Level Centre for Women Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Budgam today organised an awareness programme on MSK and other women centric Schemes at Khan Sahab, Budgam.

On the occasion, Women Welfare Officer Afroza Bhat informed that Mahila Shakti Kendra Scheme has been launched with the purpose to provide ‘One Stop Convergent Support Services for Rural Women’ where they will be provided the opportunities for Skill Development, Employment, Digital Literacy, Health and Nutrition.

During the awareness, the Women Welfare Officer focused on Women Specific Schemes such as BBBP, WHL181, OSC, PMMVY, JSY, Ladli Beti, Poshan Abhiyan, Social Welfare Schemes, JKEDI, ICPS and other women related Schemes.

The District Coordinators stressed on the education of the girl child and Legal Rights of the Women. The DLCW Team distributed posters related to MSK and OSC among the participants so that the people will get a clear knowledge how DLCW is working for the empowerment of women and their welfare.
