This all-India inter-school school competition is the latest addition to The Gera School’s quiver of innovatively designed virtual extra-curricular activities with a dual objective. Firstly, The Gera School aims retain its founding aim, “Nurture Individuality”, through ensuring an all-round exposure to students through harnessing technology to overcome the limitations of the pandemic. Secondly, The Gera School is looking to facilitate peer exchanges and social conditioning, which many students have missed out due to the isolation set in by the pandemic. This objective lies at the very core of The Gera School’s focus on students’ mental wellbeing and all-round growth.

Rohit Gera, Managing Director, Gera Developments and Chairman Advisory Committee, The Gera School said, “It is a matter of pride that The Gera School, one of the most prestigious schools in Goa, has taken the lead and is conducting an online extempore competition with the participation of 14 schools from across the country. We firmly believe that peer-to-peer interaction, companionship, and collaboration are essential for students’ all-round development. This year, the lockdown and the isolation have made it difficult for students to get together but at The Gera School, we decided to harness technology and not only combat the lockdown, but also give them a greater canvas connecting them to students across the country, through this competition.”
