A European Partner to support Ural Research Center projects

Experts from the Ural Federal University and Iskratel will conduct joint research and development in the fields of urban environment and industry, new energy, new materials and technologies. The agreement of cooperation between the company and the university in the areas of the Ural Research Center was signed by Victor Koksharov, the rector of Ural Federal University, and Zeljko Pulic, the general director of Iskratel, at the Innoprom.

“The signed agreement provides for the active involvement of students in joint developments of the university and the company. We expect that such tasks will be offered to the students of the Engineering School of Informational Technologies, Telecommunication and Control Systems of UrFU as educational projects,” said Victor Koksharov.

Representatives of Iskratel are also organizing special courses for UrFU students on current telecommunications technologies, 5G networks, and the Internet of Things. Core teaching staff and scientists of the university will have the opportunity to intern at the enterprises and subsidiaries of Iskratel.

The agreement will enable the students of the specialized programs of the Engineering School of Informational Technologies Ural Federal University to take advantage of the opportunities for practical training and further employment at the local office of the Iskra-UralTel Group.

Ural Federal University and Iskratel agreed on cooperation during the visit of Slovenian Ambassador Branko Rakovec to the university. The cooperation will help establish ties between the Ural Federal University and the University of Ljubljana; the company experts are ready to adapt a course on 5G technologies for the Ural Federal University students, organize joint educational programs and summer schools.
