Aakash Institute students Chirag Falor and Parikul Bhardwaj conferred with the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020
New Delhi: Chirag Falor and Parikul Bhardwaj, students of Aakash Institute, have done the City and the Institute proud by winning the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020 conferred upon them by the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind at a glittering ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here today. The award was given to Chirag for his excellence in the field of Scholastics, while Parikul was honoured for her work in the Social Sector.
The citation for Chirag, preparing for engineering exam at Aakash Institute, said, “The award is being bestowed upon him owing to excellence in the field of scholastics, his interest in science and astronomy and for participating and winning many medals/awards in these fields nationally as well as internationally.”
For Parikul, who is pursuing the Foundation Course at Aakash Institute, it said, “You have come up as a social worker helping people in need. Of note is the day on June 02, 2019, when at a height of 14,000 sq. ft. you helped pilgrims who had fallen ill due to severe cold.”
Said Chirag Falor: “Being conferred with the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is like a dream come true. This achievement will go a long way in motivating me further to become a scientist and researcher and do something useful for the country. I thank my parents and Aakash Institute for all their support and guidance, and look forward to studying even harder for the vast array of opportunities in the field of science.”
Added Parikul Bhardwaj: “I am humbled by the award. It will encourage me to do more work in the social sector and help people in need. The foundation at Aakash Institute has helped me not just in my studies but also hone my overall personality.”

Chirag has previously won the Gold medal for the Country at the prestigious 13th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) held last year in Keszthely in Hungary. It is one of the most renowned International Science Olympiads.
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar are given to children who excel in innovation, sports, scholastic, arts, culture, social service, and many other fields. The winners are also invited for the January 26 Republic Day Parade. Each awardee is given a cash prize, meda, certificate, citation and book vouchers.
