Aalto University: Risto Rajala Appointed as Full Professor in Service Engineering and Management, Elevating Expertise in the Field

Risto Rajala’s work advances the understanding of system-level challenges related to the implementation of service innovations that support the sustainability of industrial operations and the management of complex product-service systems.

“I am inspired by being able to work with great colleagues and students of industrial engineering and management, producing new scientific knowledge about managing operations in technology-based business. We learn something new every day by observing the development of service systems and analyzing the factors affecting changes in value-producing operations,” says Risto, continuing his work at the next level of Aalto University’s tenure-track system.

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management operates as a scientific community at the forefront of its discipline and as a producer and co-producer of three educational programs: Industrial Engineering and Management, Information Networks, and Aalto Ventures Program.
