Abertay University: Abertay launches online master’s degrees designed for global audience of professionals
Abertay University has launched seven entirely online master’s programmes which aim to widen access to education by enabling students to study part-time and flexibly wherever they live in the world.
The University is now offering four Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes with applications opening in September. The courses include: MBA; MBA with Entrepreneurship; MBA with Project Management; and MBA with Data Analytics. Also on offer are three computer science degrees: MSc Computer Science; MSc Computer Science with Cyber Security; and MSc Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence.
With a mission to inspire and enable students to achieve their full potential, Abertay’s online offering will provide opportunities for students to take up a degree programme in a completely flexible way to suit individual life circumstances, including those who are in full-time work and those with caring responsibilities.
Professor Liz Bacon, Principal of Abertay University, said:
Abertay aims to offer transformational opportunities through our approach to education and we have a history of responding to the needs industry. Launching a suite of online degrees was therefore the next natural step in encouraging and enabling a new audience of working professionals to reach their full potential. By developing programmes that can be studied part-time and fully online, we are opening access to higher education to everyone who has the ambition to study for a degree as these courses provide flexibility to suit work and family needs.
All the online degrees have six start dates a year, allowing students to begin their studies within weeks or choose a date that may suit them best.
Taught within an innovative online learning environment, students will have the opportunity to connect with peers from all over the world, whilst being supported by tutors and a dedicated Student Success Coordinator.
Professor Bacon continued:
Our online degrees, much like our on-campus degrees, have been designed to be industry-relevant and future-focused, giving students the knowledge and skills that they need to progress in a modern work environment, whilst becoming sought-after graduates who can fulfil the current and emerging needs of employers.
