Abhinav Bindra at ISB’s Mohali campus

Mohali: Former Olympic shooting champion Mr. Abhinav Bindra addressed the students here at Indian School of Business, Mohali campus today. His talk was a prelude to the ILS, Indian School of Business’s leadership summit, being organised on September 7th and 8th.
Mr. Bindra spoke about his own journey of becoming an Olympic gold medalist and how he worked towards becoming a World champion in 10m Air Rifle event from an early age. He addressed the students about the development of sports infrastructure in our country and the role institutions like ISB could play in it.
As part of his initiatives to grooming the budding sports professionals with an aim of targeting the Olympic podium, he gave details about the ‘Abhinav Bindra Shooting Development Programme’ as well as the initiatives taken by others. The positive role of various sporting leagues in promoting talent in the country was also discussed. He also spoke about the need for training varied professionals such as bio-mechanists, nutritionists and sports psychiatrists to boost the support staff in India.
Expressing his thoughts at the pre-launch of ILS(ISB leadership Summit) 2018,Abhinav Bindra told ISB students, “Whatever might be your dream, your passion give it all it asks of you. Invest in relationships that the pursuit of your dreams brings you. One’s that make you uncomfortable, challenge you, tease you, upset you are often the most valuable ones”.
The ISB Leadership Summit is a marquee event at ISB is themed around ‘Catalysts of Change’ and will host a plethora of industry leaders talking about a range of issues across both its campuses.
