ACBSP accredits upGrad’s partner – the Swiss School of Business and Management, Geneva’s Global Doctor of Business Administration

Mumbai :  In a most recent development, the Swiss School of Business Management (SSBM), Geneva’s Global Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program powered by Asia’s higher Edtech major upGrad, has received the prestigious ACBSP accreditation. This bears testimony to the quality and outcome-driven learning the program offers to its learners for enabling maximum career acceleration.

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a US-based global business education accrediting body and the first organisation to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business education and academic programs from associate to doctoral. ACBSP is recognised by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a United States organisation of degree-granting colleges and universities.

Mayank Kumar, Co-Founder and MD, upGrad commented, “At upGrad, we believe in creating and delivering education that encompasses all aspects of quality learning for ensuring maximum career outcomes for our learners. This learning-centred approach – which is also in line with our partner SSBM, Geneva’s core values, is making our relationship grow stronger and we are thrilled to become the recipient of such an honour as the ACBSP accreditation that shall enhance the overall learning experience for our existing and future learners. It’s yet another milestone achieved before we create a mark across the global higher-ed segment.”

Launched in 2021 in India, the 36-month global Doctor of Business Administration is designed specifically for working professionals who are looking for a transition into senior leadership roles or to become experts in their domain of choice. The program offers a rigorous learning structure with one-on-one mentorship by international guides, live & interactive faculty, domain-specific sessions, and thesis support across multiple specialisations based on dissertation topics including Healthcare Management, Data Science, Machine Learning, Human Resource Management, Finance, Cyber Security, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Project Management, to name a few.

The accreditation from ACBSP further augments the overall value addition upGrad brings to its learners and attributes a standard of excellence with an accreditation process based on the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence. By evaluating aspects of leadership, strategic planning, and relationships with stakeholders, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials, and educational support, ACBSP assesses whether or not business programs offer a rigorous educational experience and commitment to continuous quality improvement.
