ACCA’s impactful Careers Fair helped connect multiple accountancy professionals to relevant organisations

A total of 7,300 people registered for the event and 22 organisations were present

New Delhi: To support its future members and members with their employability and career journeys, ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), the global body for professional accountants, held its newly enhanced Virtual Careers Fair on 29 September 2021.

The innovative digital event used up to date technology to enable employers to make real-time connections via chat with a vast array of ACCA’s future-ready finance professionals. A total of 7,300 people registered for the event and 22 organisations participated.

With the benefit of reviewing CVs and resumés prior to the event, employers had the opportunity to shortlist candidates and book on-the-day appointments to talk to them about their organisation and discuss potential roles with them.

Organisations such as EY GDS, KPMG India, BDO Rise, Accenture, Siemens, Dupont, SandMartin, QX Global Group, Synchrony, Olam and many more were present at ACCA’s Virtual Career Fair, using the platform to interact with forward-thinking accountancy and finance professionals by video, voice or text and effectively reach a wide talent pool.

Md. Sajid Khan, head of international development, ACCA said: “With over 7,300 people registering for the Careers Fair, the platform provided organisations the opportunity to get in touch with finance professionals to showcase multiple opportunities for them to join in their journey. I am grateful to the vast range of employers that participated at our Careers Fair and opened up their doors to ACCA’s talented members and future members.”

Helen Brand OBE, ACCA’s chief executive, added: “It’s really pleasing to see employers and prospective candidates connect online at this ACCA India Careers Fair. We’ve been running these fairs over the last year in other countries too, and they are proving incredibly popular. Employability for our members and future members is a core part of our strategy, aligning with our purpose to be a force for public good and to lead the global accountancy profession by creating opportunity. These Careers Fairs help make that opportunity a reality!”
